Beat is a compact car manufactured by General Motors. The car has sleek design and stylish looks. Chevrolet Beat was launched at the Auto Expo in New Delhi in January 2010. The US car maker General Motors is hoping to up its sales volume in India after the launch of the compact car. Small cars form the biggest chunk of car sales in India. General Motors is trying to tap the potential of the fast growing small car market of the country.

After the launch, Beat got positive response both from experts and car buyers. The car is selling well now. The car is competing with Maruti Swift, Hyundai i10, Fiat Punto, Tata Indica Vista, Volkswagen Polo and Ford Figo in the highly competitive market of India.

The versions of Beat available in the Indian market include Chevrolet Beat 1.2 PS, Beat 1.2 LS, Beat 1.2 LT and Beat 1.2 LT Option Pack.
