 High Rock LakeProvides information related to High Rock Lake including Marinas, Camp Grounds,
Fishing, US Coast Guard, and Local Business. The three-time site of the world-famous BASS Master's Classic fishing
tournament, High Rock Lake is undoubtedly one of Davidson County's finest
treasures. With more than 300 miles of shoreline dotted with weekend cottages
as well as permanent homes, the lake offers boating, swimming, skiing, and
fishing, Visitors can take advantage of free state-operated boat ramps,

Lake Levels- Yadkin's reservoirs are operated as part of a hydroelectric project and are
subject to water level fluctuations due to many conditions. Although Yadkin
strives to make the information provided on this web page the best available as

renew!  Denton Farm ParkThe Denton FarmPark is a reconstruction in progress. It encompasses 100+ acres
of open pastures and long meadows framed by oak forests. The park features a 1
1/2 mile railroad called the "Handy Dandy" encircling the park's 15 restored
buildings including a country store, post office, and blacksmith shop.

Uwharrie National Forest
Though small, the Uwharrie provides a variety of natural resources, including
clean rivers and streams, diverse vegetation for scenery, wildlife habitat and
wood products, a wide variety of recreational activities, and a natural setting
for tourism and economic development..
Pee Dee River Canoe Trail
The Pee Dee River Canoe Trail consists of the southern leg of the larger
Yadkin-Pee Dee River Canoe Trail, a 230-mile water trail designated by the
North Carolina
Division of Parks & Recreation. The Pee Dee River Canoe Trail begins at the
Lake
Tillery boat access at Morrow Mountain State Park in Stanly County, and ends at
the
Blewett Falls Dam between Anson and Richmond Counties. The journey is a 37-mile
paddle,
and several side rivers provide for a number of interesting variations and trip
options
(the trip is 55-miles if you use the Uwharrie River option). The Pee Dee River
is
generally a wide, smoothly-flowing river and is suitable for canoeists of any
age or
experience level. Morrow Mountain State Park
Recreation
is plentiful in and around the waters of Lake Tillery and the Pee Dee
River. Fishing, boating and swimming are popular pastimes. Nature
lovers
can pick from miles of trails to travel on foot or horseback. And for
those who want to stay and take it all in, cabins and camping are
available.
There's really only one word to describe Morrow Mountain State Park:
variety.

boots or dip bare feet in the river, or bait your favorite fishing

North Carolina Zoo in Asheboro
North Carolina Zoological Park, with more than 500 acres in its African and
North American continental regions, is a place of wonder and discovery. It is
the country's largest and finest walk-through, natural-habitat zoo.
North Carolina Pottery Center at Seagrove
Within a few miles of the village of Seagrove is one of the largest groups of
working potters in the United States. Continuing the centuries old tradition of
turning and burning pots, the potteries are generally open Monday through
Saturday during normal working hours. Dan Nicholas Park and Nature Center
There are three trails that traverse the woods and open fields of the
park. There is a 1/4 mile self guided nature trail located behind the
Nature Center. The Two Mile Trail gives you a very pleasurable stroll
around the park area. The third trail lead you over hill and dale and
leads you through some of the newer portions of the park.
NASCAR Richard Childress Racing Shop
With many Richard Childress' greatest race cars alongside famous Indy and NHRA
machines, the Museum is a must-see for all race fans. The Museum has guided tours of team workshops on weekdays from 10 am to 2 pm
and self guided tours from 9 am to noon and 2 pm to 4 pm. General Hours:

Bob Timberlake Gallery
A native of Lexington, Bob Timberlake is an internationally known painter and
designer whose depiction of the simple life of North Carolina characterizes his
realistic style. The Bob Timberlake Gallery offers visitors an opportunity to
view the extensive collection of his original paintings and personal
memorabilia, as well as limited-edition reproductions, furniture and apparel in

North Carolina Aviation Museum of Asheboro This museum, created for the conservation of military aircraft is home to an
impressive collection of air-worthy, vintage military aircraft. This museum
also features exhibits of WWII military uniforms and a collection of WWII-era
newspaper features. The first weekend in June marks the date of the Annual
Aircraft Conservation Warbird Air Show. For more information call the Museum,
