Carolina. Bordering High Rock Lake and only minutes from Badin Lake, the

Recreation
- For boating, skiing, swimming or fishing, Denton is within minutes of
Badin and High Rock Lake. These pristine lakes encompass several hundred
miles of shoreline. The 15,000-acre High Rock Lake has also hosted Bass
Masters tournaments on more than one occasion. If you enjoy hiking,
sightseeing or are in the mood for a picnic - Dan Nicholas Park, Morrow
Mountain Park and the NC Zoological Park are all within a short 30-minute
drive. Uwharrie National Forest, and the Uwharrie Mountains are only a
15-minute drive from Denton. These mountains are said to be the oldest in
North America. Here, you'll find thousands of acres for hunting, hiking,
camping, and horseback riding.

boasts of several excellent choices for housing. Whether you prefer the
feel of a neighborhood, the rural atmosphere of a farm with acreage or one
